Today's Memoir of Me book nominations Samuel, Jodie, Leysa
Stacy and Ryan waited several years for a baby. Finally, the call came and they adopted Samuel! Mom and Dad were so grateful to finally have a child. Three months after adopting Samuel, Stacy found out she was pregnant! Now Samuel is a big brother to a baby sister. Samuel turned 15 months on Sunday. He is definitely now a toddler. He loves music and loves to read the same book 15 times in row! We hope he will want to share his Memoir of Me book, “Dear Samuel, Love, Mom” with all his special memories of his family and baby sister more like 100 times in a row. You can read more about their story here: http://www.samuelmay.com/
My friend Anna nominated Jodie. Here is the story from Anna, “I recently lost a dear friend and his 4 yr old boy in early November. I was able to come back to MN for the funeral. I could not have made it back if it wasn't for Jodie and her parents. They offered to take care of my two girls while I was away for two days and my husband had a tough work schedule. If it was not for their kind offer I would not have been able to be with my friend Christine in her time of despair.
Jodie is one of my girl’s favorite playmates. A beautiful, bouncy, 4 year old sweetheart that loves all of her cousins from her mother’s native home in South East Asia. She especially loves to help her Mom prepare for family to come to her house and enjoy many different types of cuisine that her grandmother has passed down from generation to generation.” Jodie’s Memoir of Me book will share these memories and preserve them for generations.
The last nomination today is Leysa. Her Aunt Deb, who bought a Memoir of Me book for Leysa’s little sister, Lara, tells the story, “My sister and brother-in-law have told me that the “Dear Lara, Love Aunt Deb” book has generated so much interest and excitement with everyone that comes to visit. It sits proudly on a table in their living room. I’d like to nominate Leysa – she’s has had a rough year. Her mother was gone for over a year due to health problems and her Dad has been raising the kids by himself and working full-time until recently when her Mom was able to come home. One of Leysa’s cats disappeared recently and she was so sad. She is such a cool girl, so nice, pleasant, a good friend and a helper to her Dad. She really deserves a book.” Leysa, now both you and your sister will have a Memoir of Me book!
Here is a picture of my friend Anna's daughters playing with Jodie! Yay 99 in 33!
